Sunset from Beaver Mountain
Climbed up for sunset photos, alas, the evening clouds came in a bit quicker than expected. Will try again another year, once I've had a chance to forget how terrible the bugs tend to get near sunset... -

Above the Clouds
Here's a tip: if you ever find yourself near Acadia National Park on a foggy morning, try driving up to the top of Cadillac Mountain for sunrise. You won't be able to see much with all the clouds, of course, but that's okay -- keep waiting. If you're lucky, within about an hour of sunrise, the fog will burn down as the sun continues to rise and you'll be in for a stunning treat... -

Renssalearville Falls at the Huyck Preserve
Between 1870 and 1878, water diverted from these falls powered a felt mill owned by Mr. Huyck, one of the first in the papermaking industry to implement a continuous process. Following the destruction of the mill by flood in 1878, the land was converted into a nature preverve in 1930; it has remained relatively untouched since. -
