Looking southwest down the valley between South Mtn. and High Peak Mtn. The sprawling Hudson river valley is just visible in the distance, the Taconic Ridge along the NY-Vermont-Massachusetts border just visible on the horizon. Winding its way between the moutnains is NY route 23A.
