Northbound on I-75. The fifth longest suspension bridge in the world, the Mackinac Bridge crosses the Straits of Mackinac, connecting lower Michigan with its upper peninsula. The bridge was completed in 1957, and carries nearly twelve thousand vehicles over the waters of Lake Michigan each day.
